Are You Living In The Moment?

My latest Motivated Online article asks you whether you are living in the moment. In it, I ask you what you miss the most about being five years old. I took this from a podcast I listened to from Oprah Radio where she was interviewing Rainn Wilson. Rainn plays the character of Dwight on the hit show, The Office, and has a website called Soul Pancake. Rainn asked Oprah this question and it got her thinking. It got me thinking. Maybeit will get you thinking.

Remember the five year old you. How did you experience life? Differently than you do now?

One of my goals (which I will be working on for likely most of my life) is to get back to my five year old state of mind: full of wonder, fully present, fully alive and in touch with what is truly important.

Here are some favourite quotes which I couldn't fit into the article but which I really, really love! I hope you will enjoy them too.

“Don’t wait for a second chance to get it right. Each moment is both the last time and the first time because no two days are ever alike.”
– Veronique Vienne

“I have realized that the past and future are real illusions, that they exist in the present, which is what there is and all there is.”
- Alan Watts

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."
- Thornton Wilder

When we stop arguing with what is and make the decision to embrace it, we will open ourselves up to see the beauty and experience the power of now. To read my article, click here: Are You Living In The Moment?
