Today I thought I’d share a verse from Napolean Hill’s, “Think and Grow Rich.” The book talks about the power of faith, the power of your thoughts, the power of believing in yourself and your dreams.
“If you think you are beaten, you are,
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win, but you think you can’t.
It is almost certain you won’t.
“If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost
For out of the world we find,
Success begins with a fellow’s will –
It’s all in the state of mind.
“If you think you are outclassed you are,
You’ve got to think high to rise,
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
“Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN!”
He goes on to write this beautiful paragraph:
“Just as a master musician may cause the most beautiful strains of music to pour forth from the strings of a violin, so may you arouse the genius which lies asleep in your brain, and cause it to drive you upward to whatever goal you may wish to achieve.”
Dig deep my friend. It may seem like you’ve been waiting for your dreams, or waiting for things to turn around for a long time. They will. The fact that you are reading this right now means God, the Universe, the Divine, a Higher Power or whatever you want to call it, wants you to know that you must keep believing. You are closer than you think.
That which is worth dreaming for, is worth waiting for. Keep the faith.
