Where Will You Be a Year From Now?

The only difference between where you are today, and where you'll be a year from today, are the books you read and the people you meet.
– Charlie ‘Tremendous’ Jones

What are  you reading? Are you reading solely fluff or are you feeding your spirit with motivational and inspirational messages? Do you read blogs, books and articles that remind you to believe in yourself when things aren't going your way?

What are you reading which encourages you to believe that Life is bringing you your highest good...Life is not fighting you. Life wants you experience stillness and not just run on the treadmill of constant activity. Constant activity is quite over-rated, and I'm beginning to realize that more and more. What are you reading that emphasizes that message?

If I don't regularly feed my mind with positive messages, I tend to more easily give in to thoughts of defeat. I become worried about my future. I feel excessively concerned with what people think of me. I think I must have more material possessions in order to be happy. I think I must be perfect in order to be at peace. I dwell on thoughts of regret over what I said or did.

Right now you're likely holding some dream or hope close to your heart. Do yourself a favour and surround yourself with people who will encourage you to keep believing even when you can't see how it will happen. Read books that remind you to believe in miracles, limitless possibilities, yourself and the grace of God.

Some of my favourite authors are Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay,  Norman Vincent Peale and Joel Osteen.  I also read the Bible, the Tao De Ching and blogs that encourage me to develop to my fullest potential. Find some reading material that resonates with you and take a few moments each day to read even one page. Like the Charlie Jones quote says, it will make a difference where you end up a year from now.
