Today I'd like to share with you some of Louise Hay's wisdom from her book You Can Heal Your Life. As I've written about in my articles on Motivated Online and in other posts, our subconscious minds are usually filled with a lot of negative and self-critical thoughts. These thoughts are what is driving our lives whether we realize it or not. We need to wake up and see that we are not helpless. We hold more power than we think. And, we are more beautiful than we think.
One of the things Louise talks about in her book is writing love notes to yourself. So many people I talk to berate themselves. Many of us are taught to do this from our families and from society. We need to release the belief that we are not good enough and somehow lacking in gifts, talents and beauty.
Here is a sample of what Louise suggests we say to ourselves throughout the day to reprogram our thinking. Substitute my name with yours (unless of course your name is the same as mine!):
Rhonda, you are wonderful and I love you. This is one of the best days of your life. Everything is working out for your highest good. Whatever you need to know is revealed to you. Whatever you need comes to you. All is well. All is perfect and as it should be."
For some of us, saying these words doesn't feel natural. It's tough to believe we are wonderful. Our parents, our siblings, kids at school or our significant others may not have said those words to us or treated us as we've deserved. By reprogramming our mental computer on a daily basis from the "I'm not good enough" thoughts to ones of hope and love, we can do extraordinary things. We ALL hold this power. A beautiful life is something every one of us can possess.
Today my hope for you is that you take a step forward in being more loving and gentle towards yourself. I hope you remove the negative labels the world may have given you. I hope you move towards embracing your magnificence and the power you hold to transform your life.
