What Can You Learn Today?

Each day is filled with opportunities to learn. Those experiences or people we find the most difficult are meant to teach us something. We will continue to experience these people and situations until we learn the lesson we're supposed to learn.

As author Marianne Williamson so brilliantly points out, those closest to us, the ones that really know how to push our hot buttons and drive us over the edge, are our greatest teachers. Sounds good in theory but perhaps not so good before you've had your first cup of coffee.

So just for today, when you're dealing with a co-worker you dislike, a family member who always drives you crazy or a traffic jam when you're in a hurry, try discovering what you are to learn in that moment. Could it be you need to learn to be more patient? More compassionate? Extend more forgiveness and grace? Or simply let it go...
